Raising Industrial Productivity with Precise Photonic Energy Distribution
Presented by:
Steffen RĂ¼bling, TRUMPFThis presentation provides a comprehensive outlook on laser micromachining, focusing on the precision and flexibility required for industrial surface processing. It begins with a review of modern microprocessing techniques, highlighting the capabilities and limitations of conventional methods.
The second part delves into innovative strategies for distributing photonic energy into the workpiece using advanced optics. Technologies such as polygon scanners, galvo scanners, and diffractive optical elements (DOEs) are explored. These approaches offer significant advantages in throughput, uniformity, and process control.
Finally, real-world application examples are presented, showcasing results in different process strategies across various materials. These case studies demonstrate how tailored energy distribution and optimized laser parameters can achieve high-precision features with controlled thermal impact, paving the way for scalable, high-quality manufacturing in sectors such as electronics, medical devices, and automotive components.
Attendees will gain insights into how advanced beam shaping and scanning technologies are transforming micro machining into a versatile and efficient tool for next-generation industrial applications.
