High-Performance Broadband IR Beamsplitters for FTIR Spectroscopy
Presented by:
Tim Olsen, Omega OpticalInfrared spectroscopy demands high-performance; broadband beamsplitters capable of operating across the 2 to 50-micron range. Olsen illustrates specialties in multi-layer coating designs that significantly outperform basic alternatives.
By utilizing precision e-beam evaporation on diverse crystalline substrates, these advanced thin films maximize signal-to-noise ratios to ensure smooth, continuous FTIR scans. Achieving this superior performance requires a combination of expert multi-layer engineering, precision substrate polishing, meticulous handling, and specialized coating techniques.
