Integrated Hyperspectral UV Imaging Enables Enhanced Inspection
Presented by:
Léa Butruille, Headwall GroupNewly devised hyperspectral UV imaging can be integrated with a camera that operates at longer wavelengths, visualizing molecular vibrations that highlight unique spectral responses in materials like minerals or semiconductors. The latest systems feature a spectral range of 220-380 nm, built-in illumination, capture and analysis computer and software, and safety enclosure (essential because prolonged exposure to deep UV can be harmful to the user).
This is a wavelength range that may offer benefits to applications such as industrial metrology, pharmacology, food ingredient analysis, and art and forensic analysis. The presentation will include a discussion of such a system's unique capabilities and an example of its use.
About the presenter
Léa Butruille graduated as an optical engineer from l'Institut d'Optique graduate school in France and chose to specialize in the hyperspectral imaging technology. For over four years, she has been working as a sales application engineer at the Headwall Group – initially for perClass BV and currently for inno-spec GmbH. In her role, she identifies customer needs and develops solutions using hyperspectral imaging. Butruille is currently living in Valencia, Spain working with customer applications in the Iberian market.
