This presentation will detail techniques and equipment for performance characterization of optical components for polarization control. Metrology for polarizers, waveplates and precision liquid crystal devices will be discussed. The talk will include a survey of available capabilities and performance tradeoffs to be considered for a variety of these components as an aid to users in selecting the best component for your application.
