Fluorescence Microscopy Reimagined: The Power of LEDs and Multi-Bandpass Filters
Presented by:
Oliver Pust, Delta Optical Thin Film A/SFluorescence instrumentation plays a crucial role in bioanalysis, enabling sensitive spectroscopic quantification and high-resolution microscopy. The demand for versatile, durable, and cost-effective instruments capable of simultaneous multi-wavelength detection has driven innovation in light sources and optical filters. This webinar explores how the synergistic combination of light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and multi-bandpass filters is transforming fluorescence instrumentation.
High-brightness LEDs, available at diverse wavelengths, coupled with custom-designed multi-bandpass filters, offer precise wavelength selection, improved signal-to-noise ratios, and simplified instrument designs. This integration enables rapid wavelength switching, increased efficiency, and the creation of robust, compact, and portable devices with applications in live-cell imaging, flow cytometry, and more. Pust highlights the technological advancements in LEDs and filter manufacturing, showcasing how the dynamic combination is enabling precise, efficient, and versatile fluorescence systems for various research and industrial applications.
