Benefits of Transmission Gratings for UV-VIS Spectroscopy

UV-VIS spectroscopy is one of the most established and widely adopted optical analytical techniques. Most instruments are designed with reflective blazed or holographic gratings, while the elevated potential of transmission gratings — particularly in the UV-VIS range — remain far less recognized. Especially fused-silica transmission gratings can offer performance improvement opportunities for both UV-only and broadband spectrometers.
