About This Webinar
Vertical integration in high-power semiconductor lasers helps when addressing a variety of applications in pumping, materials processing, medical, and more.

Jörg Neukum describes a series of fiber-coupled diode laser modules — with wavelengths available from 750 to 2200 nm, combined with volume Bragg gratings — that allow users to design efficient high-power solid-state or fiber lasers, as well as perform direct materials processing.

Special emphasis will be placed on the 880-nm range, including 793 and 976 nm, and on the description of the challenges associated within various applications.

Neukum also discusses the manufacturing of tapered amplifiers for external-cavity diode lasers (ECDL) and master oscillator power amplifier (MOPA) systems.

***This presentation premiered during the 2021 Photonics Spectra Conference Lasers track. For information on upcoming Photonics Media events, see our event calendar here.
