BioPhotonics Conference 2024
Discover new and evolving trends in biophotonics.
The 2024
BioPhotonics Conference will spotlight key advancements in
microscopy, spectroscopy, and
imaging across three technology tracks.
Designed for researchers, engineers, scientists, and clinicians, this conference aims to
advance professional development through insights into cutting-edge technologies shaping research and clinical practices.
Afrouz Anderson, program director at the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB), will kick off the conference with a keynote on optical imaging and spectroscopy, emphasizing NIBIB's pivotal programs like Rapid Acceleration of Diagnostics and quantum sensing in biomedical applications.
Christian Huck, professor at the University of Innsbruck, will explore vibrational spectroscopy's rapid and noninvasive capabilities in bioanalysis, underscoring its growing importance in research and industry. Closing the event,
Stephen Boppart, professor and chair in engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, will present multimodal imaging to improve tumor margin assessment in surgical oncology, leveraging AI to enhance real-time digital histopathology.
This year’s conference will also feature leading figures and emerging voices in the field, such as
Aydogan Ozcan on programmable diffraction with digital neural networks and
Juliet Gopinath on advancements in STED microscopy. In addition, representatives from major companies like
Hamamatsu Corporation,
Ocean Optics, and
Evident Scientific will discuss the
latest trends driving innovation in biomedical technology.
Registration to attend the event is FREE.
